About Airform

I'm Michael Nowak.
I’m the founder and designer behind Airform, a one-person product design and motion agency for startup founders.
For 15+ years I’ve been
designing
building
and
animating
digital products.
Today I work directly with founders from first idea to launch - no sales handoff, no junior team behind the scenes.
How I got here
15 years of turning ideas into products people understand.
years designing
founders helped
following built
I’ve spent 15+ years designing digital products and the motion, animation, and video that help launch them.
Along the way I’ve worked with companies including Disney and Netflix, helped more than 100 founders and teams bring products to market, taught 100+ designers and editors, built a 180k+ following, and had my work featured by Google, Adobe, and Figma.
But the logos aren’t the part I care about most.
Fifteen years across product and motion taught me the thing that decides whether either of them works: whether people understand what you’ve built quickly enough to care.
Timing, hierarchy, clarity, rhythm - knowing where to direct attention and how to make something click in the few seconds you actually get.
Whether that happens inside the product, on the website, or in the video that introduces it, that’s the craft I bring to every project.

Why I started Airform
Two things pushed me to start it:
01
Agencies got
too complicated
I kept seeing too many steps, too much back-and-forth, and too many people sitting between the founder and the actual work.
It slowed projects down exactly when startups needed speed most.
02
Great products were being misunderstood.
I kept noticing that most products don’t struggle because they’re bad.
They struggle because people don’t understand them fast enough to care.
I realized the design and motion craft I’d spent 15 years building was precisely what fixes that - and that, as one person, I could take a founder’s product from first idea to launch without losing quality, speed, or a clear line of communication.
That’s what Airform is.
Senior work. Direct. No layers in between.
clarity creates
opportunity
Most products don't struggle because they're bad. They struggle because people don't understand them fast enough to care…
What I believe about design
I’m designing your product for you, the founder - not for myself.
My job is to understand your vision, your users, and your business first, then build around that. Not decorate it.
I also don’t think design is only about how something looks.
It should solve a user problem, increase engagement, make the product easier to understand, and move the business forward.
Above all, I believe in clarity.
You get about five seconds of someone’s attention. The simplest solution, shaped with care and the right visual hierarchy, is what earns the next five.
Making your product instantly understandable - that “oh, I get it” moment - is the job, whether I’m designing the product, shaping the marketing website, or animating its launch.
Let's talk about your project:

Tyler Kay
"I have worked with Michael on several photo-real 3D animations for science and technology product launches. Not only does he create beautiful work, he does it with the highest level of professionalism and great communication throughout the project.
Who will I work with?
AirForm is actually a one-person agency, meaning you'll work directly with me, the founder.
Why not hire designers full-time?
Why spend weeks recruiting and onboarding permanent hires? We start shipping results right away - no overhead, no long-term lock-in, and the freedom to pause or cancel as needed.
What if we don’t have any assets?
Don't worry - we will help you with copy, storyboards, visuals, video end-to-end.
Can you work with our dev team?
Yes, handoff in Figma / Framer files, async reviews, Slack updates.
How soon can we start?
Typical start within 2-5 days - book a 15-min intro to confirm
What tools do you use?
We use Figma, Adobe Family, Cinema 4D, Rive and Framer - but If you have any other tools in mind - let us know on the call and we can discuss what's possible.
